Tom Petty

@Stan The Chosen One or anyone else interested for that matter if you follow my profile on YouTube there a documentary called Tomorrow's Gonna be Alright which is about the music scene in Aberdare before and after Stereophonics made it, Stuart Cable is in it and early members of Stereophonics, well worth a watch. I've also got Only The Names Have Changed which is Kelly's solo album that was sneakers out very low key and it's superb.

Lived in the same street as me, grumpy old twat. His daughter killed himself and he tried taking Kelly to court over the song.
That first album blew me away, the tunes were immense but some of the lyrics were also brilliant. Probably because they were so real and personal.

I thought the same was true of some of the second album. The Bartender and the Thief, T-Shirt Sun Tan, She Takes Her Clothes Off. Just stories with a backing track, which I love.

Hey Joe, where you going with that gun in your hand?

She Takes Her Clothes off is a very early song that didn't make the first album, made the second through popularity as a b side.
Have you heard Only The Names Have Changed?

Bartender is about a pub called The Mount Pleasant and some dodgy owners, someone I know burned it to the ground.
