I suspect the reason he's not playing is more because he's actually not very good and he in no way improved our squad when signed. Now he's even further down the pecking order.
I should have highlighted fitness issues more in my previous post as it seems like Bruce will not pick players who are not fit to his standards going by Ben Arfa, another reason he is a top manager. Ince doesn't have enough top flight experience as it stands and I think maybe he was earmarked for cup/Europe matches to build that up maybe so is suffering from our early exits
He's maybe down the pecking order but I think it's a bit harsh to say he's not very good! If he hasn't been playing then how do you get that opinion? Ive seen him have some great games for England u21s
Ince and Aluko are very different type players. Ince is much more direct and faster than Aluko and in my opinion is better suited to play up in the 3-5-2 with Hernandez. Ince was very impressive at Blackpool and generated a lot of interest from top teams. He impressed me earlier this season when he got some decent playing time. Maybe its a combination of the Blackpool fee/Aluko shop window factors but my guess is we'll see a lot more of Ince in the second half of the season and Aluko will be gone. Curious that there seems to have been very little interest in him elsewhere though...maybe his injury history and lack of goals?
Great deal all round. Works whatever, depending on if you believe he isn't good enough or we are pushing down the fee.
Great move for both parties. Pearce will (hopefully) get the best out of him whilst he's there and he can come back in good form and show us what he can really do.
It seem to help Fryatt last year. Ince is definitely good enough. He's just been unlucky that system that we're playing currently doesn't really suit him. Ben Afa was brought to replace Snodgrass and Ramirez was one of them domino transfer on Transfer Deadline Day because Soton signed a winger and Hernandez and Ramirez have the same agent.
BBC Humberside Sport ‏@HumbersideSport Coming up @RadioHumberside sport at 1.06pm: #hcafc boss Steve Bruce on Tom Ince.
Now on the BBC Nottingham Post's Forest reporter Paul Taylor on Twitter: Forest hope to land Tom Ince on loan... Move could be done tonight or tomorrow. Could be involved in open training session Thursday.
I always thought he was massively over-rated. When we signed him, my brother sent me a text along the lines of "remember how you always say 'why do teams keep signing Tom Ince' haha." I just don't know what people think they see when he's playing.
I just suspect he isnt very good. He did nothing for Palace and has done nothing for us to suggest otherwise. Now over to Forest to try and do so. 100% agree. I hope he proves me wrong but at present I'd gladly take him permanently off the wage bill for free.
He's a quality young player you lot must be blind. Silly signing though as Bruce seems determined to play 5 at the back and since is a winger, not a striker or a 'number 10'. Doesn't fit anywhere in a 5-3-2.
