7 million quid for a youngster who had a decent run in the past 5 months. Haven't even heard his name once during the summer transfer period. Insane amount of money to pay for a first division player with only a good first half of the season... No experience in the EPL, no full season top performance and absolutely no guarantee he can keep his feet on the ground after a move. This all sounds like another overpaid inside transfer like Carrol, Downing, Cahill, Dempsey etc etc. Just stick with your current tactics. There are a whole lot of Michu's out there. The Swans don't need an over-hyped buy from the first division.

I like him tbh, have watched him a few times and have said, would love to see him in our lineup.

But 7m, I am not so sure, 5-6m maybe, as think he will be worth a fair bit more in the future. Plus to be fair, Dyer has been crap this season for me, Hernandez needs to get back into it again, Routledge the only one doing it, but still get frustrated with him at times, as we don't have that winger that will run at defenders (what Dyer done so well last season), and think Ince could be the answer there.

Think this is one for another club, £7m for a player who is a gamble and is a prospect only is a bit much. We could sign 2 or 3 players for that who would probably less of a punt

we need 8 homegrown out of 25 over 21 year old players.
Off the top of my head: Graham, Britton, Gower, Ash, Cornell, Routs, Dyer, Lita, Moore, Bartley. davies is free as under 21, so we have enough homegrown players to get a few more Spaniards yet!

Well we all know there are rumours that Graham could be going.
Gower I can't see being here for much longer, same goes for Moore and Lita.

So if those 4 were to go, we would be down too many.

I think he is, but not sure tbh.

But I would still prefer us to have more. Do we really want to turn into an Arsenal, where we are a British club made up of pretty much total foreigners. I certainly don't. A healthy balance is needed, but we need to keep home grown talent coming through the ranks, or we are just going to be adding to whats already a problem here.

If we were to lose 4 British players as mentioned above, we need to look at bringing in others to replace. We don't want to be in a position where we have just 8 british players in the 25 man squad, as it limits our ability to move on any of those 8 during that season does it not?

I also think someone like Ince would do well in a setup like ours. The likes of Walcott were put under too much pressure by being at one of the big clubs. Don't think that would happen with us, its a friendly atmosphere in the squad, and think he would only get better. So although I don't like the over priced British players, I do think Ince would be worth the risk, as believe he would continue to grow in our setup.

Too much money for me but I'd agree with £5 million. Swans are being linked with a winger at Osasuna called Roland Lamah. He's 25, stands 5ft 11" and his transfer value is circa £2.5 million.

Don't know about this one. He only has one goal in 30 appearances and 10 in 92 for his previous club Le Mans. Not exactly prolific so I guess he's being seen as a creator rather than a scorer. I can't understand how Dyer has gone backwards so quickly. He rarely takes on a man and usually loses out when he tries. If he could find his previous form it would be like having a new player.

Ivor the wiki page is out of date for that Roland chap, he's played 15 in the league and has scored twice with 2 assists, there links in the thread about him

Forgot about Taylor in the squad list, as I said it was off the top of my head. Forgot Monk too.
Bear in mind that players under 21 don't need to be registered so there are local lads and British players in the academy waiting to come through over the next few years.
That NI player Donnelly and Proctor for example.

I would not say no to tom ince as he is a player who i have been keeping an eye on this season and i like the way he plays and can do a good job for us imo. Im not too sure on £7 million though but if sir mike thinks he is worth it then that will do for me...

Thanks, Jager, saw the thread after I'd posted. Still not done enough for me though.

Surely we can have no interest in this guy anymore (if the rumours where actually true). We are now i possession of four wingers and as Sir Laudrup wants two players in each position, this position is now full...?

I don't think we are interested in him at all, just paper talk, every transfer window his name crops up.

Also £7m holds no value for us.

ML's head is in Spain anyway and Erik Larsen has more or less lived there for the last 2 months.
