Looks like I was wrong, Liverpool are buying him back, a long with Sturridge...

Potential suitors for Demba narrowing? Or will these two just boost a squad short of attacking options, and be added to with Demba?

Gutted if true. Seems a bit lacking in substance that report though?

Of course it does, I think BBC just assume everyone just visits Sky's sports page now, so they can't be arsed with anything that doesn't revolve around Tom or Ben Dirs or Phil McNulty writing something immensely poetic (but ultimately WTF) about Torres, Chelsea, Liverpool or Man Utd (or in the case of Dirs, sports he seems to only have brief acquaintance with... and Tom must be off with some Argentine lass because he's never out of South America)!!! <laugh>

Usually BBC prefer to remain quiet until SSN reports (*cough* and then verifies *cough*) it though, or unless they have decent evidence. Think they've only refused to embellish the story because they know minimal information.

£6 million for Ince would be quite a decent deal for anyone other than Liverpool, who sold him for 250k, so it must be true! Sturridge for 12 million sounds about right. Used to rate him as player at Man City, I don't think he's fulfilled his promise to be honest.

I really like this. Tom Ince - and it's just my opinion - is no better than the likes of Scott Sinclair or Matt Jarvis. I think he's doing ok, but how many others are doing well in the Championship this season even at the likes of Leeds and Boro?! Sturridge, however, is a mystery. Looked ok for a while but no-one seems either able to or interested in getting anything out of him. I question Rodgers' scouting methods here - is he really understanding these players, or does he just need some English players in case the rules change again? Either way, it's £18m nicely pi$$ed away for me. Plus it means Ba has yet another club ruled out - I'm not against him going, but maybe it'd be 'good' if he went to somewhere like Galatasaray or Zenit.....then he might understand just how lucky he is to be at this great club.

Ince is an absolute steal at that price, has a touch of class about him. Blatantly playing at the wrong level, and a real smack in the face for Liverpool. As you note, a good deal for anyone but them. They've paid 5.75m to loan to Blackpool essentially. I would have loved him, exactly what we need.

I'm still to be convinced with Sturridge. Bar that spell at Bolton he has looked average. That said its the only time he has been played as a central striker. I just think he is greedy beyond what is acceptable for a striker.
