    That's my point, the bias.

But like I said, I wanted him in the England squad before he was at City, so bias doesn't come into it as much as you are making out.

But as I said, I never heard you calling for his inclusion before. Let's just leave it there, I think he's a good player, but give it more than 5 games.

Indeed. I'd take Huddlestino at 5 over Paulinho at 17 big ones any day of the week.

No way Cleverley should be ahead of him. Thudd has ten times the technical ability, understanding of the game, and shooting power that he has. What a travesty he's not in the England squad. Davies too while we're at it.

I don't know what it is with Cleverley but I knew Man U were doomed today when their supersub to change the game was ...Cleverley. Huddlestone is a far superior player but Cleverley seems to be one of the types favoured by managers these days, Milners another useless bastard who the managers pick because of some mystery stats/yesman tendencies rather than pure footballing ability. Even Mourinho was on about Mata not being good enough the other day. Send him to us!

I read on Twitter that hair thing is a bet and he isn't getting it cut until he scores.

Missing out on signing him is being held up as a reason in the Guardian's assessment of PDC getting the sack.

It interesting that now it is being said that PDC wanted hardly any of the signings made for him by the DoF and he has been criticising the quality of the new players behind closed doors all summer. If your DoF and coach dont work hand-in-hand then you really have got problems.

It's for charity, when he scores he'll cut it. I think he's raised quite a bit actually.

Thudd is definitely quality, but it does seem that his confidence has raised since he pulled the shirt on here, may be big fish in small pond mindset or the fact that Brucie has shown so much faith in him that has made him lift his game to the next level, but he`s certainly playing at a level I didn`t think I`d ever see from a City player, the vision of the fella is immense. Given Englands inability to create, then for me he has to be worth a go.

Glad to see he's doing well for you guys. It's no surprise that he's doing well, he's always been brilliant technically but after a series of injuries and AVB wanting more athletic midifelders it was never really going to come good for him with us. His excellent range of passing has always been a feature of his game but as most sides set up against us aiming to defend deep it was more difficult for him to be as effective.

I give up with Hodgson, I could understand him leaving out Hudd when he wasn't playing for us but then he goes and picks the likes of Smalling and Cleverley when they're not playing for United. Quite simply, he can't deny Hudd deserves a spot in the squad on current form, surely. Then again, I've no idea why Dawson keeps getting overlooked either, 1 conceded in 5 league games doesn't happen by accident and we're not exactly flooded with great centre backs at the moment. Hodgson massively favours United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal(the old "Big 4") players. He only seems to rate Walker and Defoe from our team yet if you asked any Spurs fan they'd tell you that Lennon and Dawson were by far our best English players last season. Even Lambert was overlooked all last season despite being the highest English scorer. I don't think Hodgson knows what he's doing, totally out of his depth.

Values are never really relative. Huddlestone was going cheaper because there were some issues with his ability to pass a medical. For us, we're far better off with Paulinho as we need a midfield with lots of energy, his ability to get into the box and score yet also get back and defend well too is very important to us.

Thought I'd posted this but try again. Never thought we would have a City player in the World Cup!

    2) Huddlestone could yet be in Brazil next summer

Hull's gameplan is based on playing through Tom Huddlestone and Steve Bruce must hardly believe his luck in landing him from Tottenham this summer. Mysteriously no one else bar Sunderland seemed interested – (and watching Huddlestone shine as Hull won at Newcastle on Saturday makes one wonder if Paolo Di Canio might have avoided the sack had his board paid whatever it took to bring the occasional England international to Wearside) which could prove a collective oversight. Granted, Huddlestone lacks pace but his passing and vision are superb and he intercepts nicely. Much more of this and he might yet make England's plane to next summer's World Cup finals – providing Roy Hodgson's squad qualify, of course. Whatever happens he looks capable of ensuring Hull stay up. Louise Taylor

And even though he didn't join us until they were eliminated, Koren played and scored for Slovenia (he was a free agent at the time, so no club had him)
