I agree that a fit Huddlestone would be an asset for us. His strengths are reading of the game, passing and vision. However he is not the best tackler and lacks pace(even before his injuries). Nevertheless a couple of years ago he was(rightly) an England player (4 caps) in a side that had Gerrard, Lampard, Barry & Carrick, and given the protection of a defensive work-horse (Johnson or Tettey) he could pull the strings in midfield as well as provide ammunition for RVW and whoever else is up front for us. I'd take him if the price was right and his fitness was OK.
I agree, If he is fit then he would automatically be on of the first choice central midfielders in our squad. At the right price I think we would be foolish not to be interested.
Spurs won't let him go anywhere next year, he's been too good and they lack cover for Lennon and Bale. Would be very nice though.
