trouble with peter levy is he keeps thinking he's paxman and that's when his interviews get tedious. when he's not in paxman mode he's not too bad.
I know what you mean. He forcefully challenges certain questions which don't need it but I'd have thought this Prescott interview would be the perfect place for him to use that style. Sounds like he let him off the hook through from what OLM said.
He doesn't know what he's doing though. As you say, he questions people in an aggressive manner when it doesn't make sense to do so; he challenges people on points that aren't there to be challenged; he does it to make himself look all big and clever, which is ironic really given he's a midget.* *Not that there's anything wrong with midgets. Some of my best friends, etc etc...
