that is if he will be starting, he played for England in mid week, then played a full match against Everton
both 3 are different players each.. beside is Alonso the same as he was 3-4 years ago? Khedira himself had some rough patches in Spain
Cleverley is underrated by non-united fans in my opinion, you watch on wednesday, you and many people will be changing your opinion about him.
He's definitely underrated by non United fans Matt as he's not a flashy player so doesn't get the headlines. Casual observers will always get more moist about a player like Lampard, who bombs around hitting hollywood passes and as one of the main goalscorers in a team, than the likes of Scholes, Carrick and Cleverley. The first two with their unassuming approach to the game have served us well and hopefully Cleverley will do the same. However, he's still got a fair bit of room for improvement. He doesn't have the natural talent of someone like Wilshere which is why it's taken him longer to get to a similar level than Wilshere but his loan moves have obviously given him experience and confidence. Hopefully he has a good game on Wednesday, if selected, as one bad habit that he does have is when he has a bad game he has an absolute 'mare!
Because Silva is a flashy player. And he's Spanish. He's been awful for City for most of this season. You also have to bear in mind that because Cleverley plays for United, most non-United fans desperately WANT him to be **** so they convince themselves that he is. Conversely some United fans so depserately WANT all of our players to be the best in the business that they convince themselves that they are.
why would they view Cleverley any different to Carrick? England fans have spent the last ten years pissing and moaning that the Lampard/Gerrard axis doesn't work but they'd rather watch failure than accept that what England needed for years was a player like Carrick to replace Scholes.
