he plays as strikers too .. when England send long balls to Rooney in brazil game, he was going for it and challenging defenders for the high balls trying to keep possession while walcott was running away from that challenge and staying at the flank.. it make england play with 2 strikers in central area when needed .. this what made england too mobile
and he offer more psychical side than having Walcott/Lennon..

are you planning to play both at right side then? <ok>

Whereas Welbeck is a natural left sided attacker...as demonstrated by the ****e outside of the right foot finish.

Play young on the left. I know he had a poor euros but he is still Englands best player on the left.

I agree.. Young is the best at the moment at the Left flank
meanwhile, with England playing 3 in the mid , this will leave England with one striker if we play with 2 real wingers, it will make England kind toothless upfront .. and another key area we will miss without Welbeck is that i feel England will be weaker physically to challenge for balls with defenders in the central areas .. in the other hand, England will be most effective at the left side if they played Young, and England will definitely win more fouls/penalties :D

How will it make England toothless?

O wait England should go back to 4-4-2 and really dominate the opposition <doh>

This would be my preferred England team

    Hart
    Jones
    Ferdinand
    Smalling
    Cole
    Cleverley
    Powell
    Carrick
    Welbeck
    Rooney
    Young

i mean with one striker .. it will make defensive duties for opposite sides much more easier tbh

is easy, you play with one striker, your chances are reduced to score
unless England go back to 442 with 2 in mid if you want to play Young with Walcott in the flanks
am interested to know what formation is ideal for you, just out of curiosity.. are you planning to play Rooney alone upfront?

We will get dominated in midfield and won't be able to support the strikers....

Did you watch the Euros? England were shocking.
