look into my eyes, into my eyes, not around the room, but into my eyes, i am a great footballer, i'm the pele of preston, into my eyes, 3 2 1 back in the room
What's the point in investing in our youth system if we can produce a player like Cairney and he still isn't deemed good enough to stay at the club, even though most people say he'll end back up in the Premier League?
yeah, i was liam coopers team at school, a few of us got a trial, he got picked, i know clappison, clark etc, my sisters mates all the same school
haha, it's not a term i usually brag about, i'm too jealous/disappointed, my sister use to have such a crush on clappison, she went to the same primary and seconday school, clark was the year below.. she's decent friends with ben so i'm just hoping she marries him, so it's my claim to fame
Plenty of arrogant people on here. What is the point of a forum if you're not allowed an opinion? Personally Cairney shouldn't have been sold. Potential to be a top quality player and had already shown that potential in the Premiership and Championship. His personal decisions under the previous regime may have led to his exit. It's baffling that now we are so keen on signing youth and potential yet sold the best youth and potential we have had in years. If Cairney was the exact same player but had come through Blackburns youth ranks, then we would be sniffing around with a multi million pound bid. I'd rather have Cairney than some of our fringe players and could easily be the missing midfielder we apparently need.
We didn't produce him, Leeds did. We took a punt when they released him if I remember correctly. I don't think him leaving had much to do with his ability, more his poor attitude and need to play regular first team football.
apart from me, i wasn't deemed good enough, which was a load of f**ing s**t i was easily good enough, but i was such a short ass, i was about 5ft 2 at the time, and i've peaked at 5ft 10, infact at the time, i was actually under 5ft, deemed too small, i was the 2nd smallest in my whole year at school, cooper incidentally was one of the tallest
Would anyone seriously of picked Cairney a head of Livermore and Huddlestone? The only way Cairney would improved is by playing games and obviously wasn't going to here.
Do we get a 25% discount if we try to buy him back? .... Sarcasm We are arguably short of a central midfielder and either Cairney or Evans would be a more than good competition for us now. Ahh well. We sold two promising, talented and young players for around 1 million pound combined and bought Proschwitz for 2.8 million. Whilst getting held to ransom by Sheff Utd for MaGuire.
No. But if either got injured and with our strained schedule than he would have been a great part of the squad. He's far better than many if our squad members.
