    Newcastle have been behind the ball so far, but they break well to fashion a semi-opening. Yohan Cabaye threads a delicate pass in behind, and Demba Ba almost wriggles free of Gary Cahill but the England man is able to get a toe to the ball.

    Oh dear it looks as if it's going to have to be 3-2 now if we're going to get anything out of it.


    This might be the best goal I've seen Fernando Torres score in a few years. Torres plays the ball into the feet of Eden Hazard, the Belgian holds off his marker and back-heels the ball back into Torres's path, and he is able to drive the ball away from the dive of Tim Krul and into the top corner. Wonderful stuff.

    Nice from Newcastle. Nice. Davide Santon carries the ball down the left and shifts it in to Hatem Ben Arfa 30 yards from goal. The Frenchman shifts the ball on to his left foot smartly and drags his shot just wide.

    At least we haven't given up!

    11' Moisander 2-0

    This Finnish defender was bought by Ajax from AZ Alkmaar earlier this week for 3 million euros's. The deal was signed on thursday and tonight he makes his first appearance this evening.

    These figures are normal for transfers within the Eredivisie. The biggest transfer ever was in 2008, Miralem Sulejmani went from SC Heerenveen to Ajax for 16,5 million euro's. His contract runs out in 2013 and Ajax will probably not be able to sell him in this period.

    23 year old midfielder, bought this summer from IFK Goteborg scores his third goal of this season. Which is surprising, between 2007-2008 season and 2011-2012 season he made a total of 6 goals. After a month t Ajax he already scored one third of his goals in his career.

    Absolute screamer, Siem shoots from 20 meters out and puts it in the net. Fantastic goal in the right top corner, leaving the goalie no chance.
