Yeah but that’s because they went at it full throttle right up to the last game of the season. We knew our fate with 7 games to go so mainly played the kids and reserve players continually rotating, we lost the last 5 games. Paid off for us.

It wouldn’t have been anywhere near 14 points otherwise.

Have to slightly disagree, they had a two point deduction, they knew their fate with two games to go, I can’t believe Sunderland rested players 7 games out, you need some momentum.

No doubt there would have been a bit of rotation and they probably felt they were the better team yesterday. Without the points deduction and all things considered I’d say there would have been at least a 12 point gap to third

Look at our fixtures and you’ll see we were constantly resting and rotating players. The results didn’t matter, one bit. We lost the last 5 games.

Our manager nailed it.

Hope I’m wrong but I think that is the last thing he’ll do as an Ipswich player. Ashton mentioned that he expected 2 players to leave for large fees. 1 is Delap and I fear Omari is the 2nd - would love him to stay as I think he would tear up the championship
