thought they would have put I follow text on as supporters are not allowed in. just one entry on twitter and that was after 6 minutes then nothing. not sure if it is a poor match or that they are not bothering to cover it.
Nothing on I follow live text, according to Sam Frost on Bristol Live nothing happened between the 15th and 27th minute. Makes you wonder whether they actually want the supporters to keep up to date with all thats going on
0-0 so far, into the 2nd half. There are regular update on Twitter. If the lads can's score v Havant & Waterlooville we've got a problem. Hanlan has gone close a few times. Rooney nealy tapped one in at close range for them but fluffed.
Still 0-0 on about 77 mins. Quite a few of our "first teamers" don't seem to be playing, which is a worry. So much for the great pre season we were promised. with the manager on leave as well.
Letting Ayunga go without a replacement, we have less strikers now than last season and that turned out well didn't it!
No Paul Coutts, Cian Harries, Jack Baldwin, Alfie Kilgour, Sam Finley and Josh Barrett again. Most of them have not featured at all in pre-season. Connor Taylor, Sion Spence and Harvey Saunders also absent. Not ideal at all.
No new striker and only one goal against a non league side and a penalty against Plymouth doesn't bode well for the future
Kick off in just over a week's time, then a very busy schedule. I don't think I've ever been so pessimistic. I guess a coupleof the games are cup games that don't matter so much, but it looks like quite a tough start to be honest. I'm puzzled about players like Kilgour and Grant. Are they injured,or just out of favour?
Didn't Grant play Vs Havant? I am just puzzled about our striker situation. That was the position JB was most vocal about, especially the lack of them at the club. Yet we have even less with just over a week to go before the season starts. It's laughable.
Great result today, and Pitman scored with a header and a forty yard chip. Perhaps we'll win the league after all.
I’ve just read the match report, a good result against a full strength Oxford outfit - that Luke Thomas sounds like a hell of a player for League 2 level. Good to see that Grant, Kilgour and Harries got a run out too. Just 6 days until things start to get interesting. UTG.
Well done, you've just jinxed him now... he'll get injured after 5 minutes on Saturday and will be out for the season!
Oh don’t say that! After months of waiting to getting back playing badminton after lockdown I joked to my wife that I’d knacker myself first game back - and that’s exactly what I did. Twisted ankle - won’t be playing for another two months minimum! I hope to god I haven’t jinxed the lad because he does look really good - we’ve only got him because he wants to be near his family in the Forest of Dean. He could be playing at a higher level than L2.
Not as bloody disappointed as I am! Going to Devon on holiday this weekend hobbling like an old timer (no offence old timer!!)
Bluebaldee How did you know I was hobbling, I certainly won't take offence because if I do anyone could just walk in to what ever the fence was protecting, just get fit and leave the energetic games for those who have nothing better to do and enjoy your holiday. At least the family will not be able to nag you into doing some thing you don't want to do if you can only hobble like an old timer
