Reading need the points as much as we do, delay in match says I follow but apparently Reading fans are throwing tennis balls onto the pitch in protest of their owners First yellow card of the evening Charlie Savage Reading booked for simulation 25th minute Reading 1 - 0 Sam Smith 40th minute That goal is not going to do Mangans chances of the top job much good Cox just saved Rovers from going two down with a good save in the 45th minute, 4 further minutes to play
HT reading 1 - 0 We have had chances but failed to take them we desperately need a striker who can find the net on a regular basis and if we can 2 of them we might just make an attempt to reach the playoff's otherwise cannot see that happening this season
With Collins, Marquis, Brown and Martin in the squad we should have enough to really push Reading but they’re just not delivering at the moment. We need a much improved second half.
Sam Hutchingson yellow carded 49th minute 56th minute Brown and wood off Vale and Bogarde on, Brown taken because of an injury 57th minute Reading 1 - 1 Chris Martin assisted by Harvey Vale 59th minute Elliott on Femi Azeez off 70th minute James Wilson injured looks like being replaced by Crama, and Marquis replaces Martin Craig replaces Hutchinson also 70th minute
Collins sounds like he’s having one of those games so I hope that Marquis can come up with the goods.
Marquis Works hard but his goal tally isn't brilliant Cox down injured but able to play on 76th minute 10 minutes plus extra time to be played going to be a long 10 minutes Guinness-Walker and Ehibhatiomhan on Dorsett and Smith off 82nd minute also 82 minute Yellow card for Finley
I follow says 71 and72nd minute so I am guessing together, one more change possible I think Finley seems to be booked every match he is becoming a liability 87th minute Craig yellow carded 5 minutes to score or hang on for a draw
Hargreaves just reported Rovers had a penalty shout turned down and they are not happy Gibbons on Grant off 90+2 According to Sky FT Reading 1 - 1 Rovers
Predicted that score rather have had the win Rovers up to 12 position one more goal for tonight and we would have been 10th 2 more injuries tonight Wilson and Brown hope they are not serious as we appear to be a bit threadbare on the number of players available
Todays line up v Carlisle Cox, Hunt, Friend, Wilson, Crama, Woods, Evans, Bogarde, Martin, Vale, Collins Subs Hall, Gibbons, Grant, Sinclair, Thomas, Brown, Marquis 5th minute Barclay has the first yellow of the afternoon 13th minute Carlisle have a penalty appeal turned down and a minute later Woods is yellow carded 35th minute Friend down injured and receiving treatment but is able to continue playing 39th minute Carlisle 0 - 1 possibly an own goal credited to Sam Lavelle 42nd minute Maguire replaces Huntington because of an injury Carlisle have had a second penalty appeal turned down 45th minute 5 minutes extra time to be played HT Carlisle 0 - 1 45+2 Friend yellow carded
No changes at HT by either side Collins booked for simulation in the penalty area Match attendance 7838 of which there are 597 Gas heads Martins name was on the team list haven't seen his name mentioned yet, seems to be all Carlisle at present 66th minute Marquis on Martin off 68th minute Ablade on Garner off 74th minute red card for Crama 76th minute Hunt off Grant on 82nd minute Edmonson and Butterworth on Plange and Mcgeouch off 5 minutes extra time to survive 84th minute Gibbons and Brown on Woods and Collins off A red card and an own goal and a 0 - 1 win away from home
Rovers up to 10th in the league, players said they wanted Mangan and they are certainly fighting for him
I'm not convinced about Mangan. Sure, we've won two and drawn one of our league matches under him, but all three were against teams struggling at the foot of the table and in each match we've been fairly unconvincing and have won by "holding on". I haven't seen any improvement in our attacking play - a lack of goals is concerning - and if we play like we have against better teams we will not be winning many games.
You listed 4 strikers earlier on this thread Bluebaldee and stated they were not finding the net often enough, so I will repeat what I said earlier that we need 2 strikers that can find the net on a consistent basis otherwise we are not going to climb the table very quickly. Oxford are apparently looking at Frank Lampard for their vacant managers position, could be a good signing for us with experience at the top level
Tonight's line up v Newport Ward, Gibbons, Vale, Wilson, Grant, Finley, Evans, Thomas, Marquis, Brown, Collins. Subs Hall, Crama, Gordon, Shaw, Sinclair, Woods, Martin. Newport managed by Graham Coughlin to give the fixture a bit of spice to it Hope you all enjoy the match and we get a win, will check the score at FT
I will be disappointed if we don’t win as that’s a very strong squad and should be too much for Newport.
