Staggering on I thought would be more to the point and whats more Massive gets another 8 points for the correct score and probably the nearest time Cheltenham out off the cup
I think that you made the same mistake last time! Massive always predicts us to LOSE 1-0 - and we won!
The highlights of the Donny v Kings Lynn match are interesting. Quite a few ex Rovers lads, and they gave Donny quite a battering.
Watched the Torquay v Derby game on TV this afternoon - apart from Adam Virgo doing some of the commentary, was also nice when the camera panned into the crowd to show Robin Stubbs watching the game. Apparently he played for the Gas 93 times between 1969 and 1972 scoring 32 times. What I didn't know was that he was once married to Anthea Redfern before she eventually joined and subsequently married Bruce Forsyth on The Generation Game. I can vaguely recall seeing him play at Eastville, must have been around 1971/1972 before he left and rejoined Torquay. Think I worked out he must be 81 years old now.
Forgive me if I haven't been paying attention, but I can't remember the last time both Rovers and City played at home with a 3pm kickoff at the same time. We're at home to Fleetwood and City host Watford. Unusual for both to be at home - I hope Avon & Somerset Constabulary have cancelled leave!
Team v Bolton Belshaw, Connolly, Finley, Sinclair, Collins, Rossiter, Gibson, Clarke, Evans, Thomas, Coburn. Subs Jaakkola, Gibbons, Kilgour, McCormick, Whelan, Marquis, Saunders Bolton 0 - 1 Rovers Josh Coburn 2nd minute Thomason 24th min yellow card Sub Bolton Williamson on for Thomason 36th min 39th min JB yellow carded 3 minutes stoppage time HT Bolton 0 - 1 Rovers
If the league 1 scores stay the same as at HT Rovers would be up to 9th position Bodvarsson clattered by his own keeper who was punching out an Evans cross has now been replaced by Dion Charles, Bodvarsson has a head a injury 55th minute Sub Bolton Kachunga replaced by Bakayoko 63rd minute 67th minute Trevor Clarke yellow card 68th minute Gibbons on for Clarke 72nd minute Belshaw receiving treatment Bolton make another change Sadlier replacing Beck 73rd minute Belshaw fit to continue
According to Sam Frost it is nearly all Bolton at present, I think we need a goal to ease the pressure a bit Lewis Gibson yellow card 88th minute, ref gave a throw in then changed his mind and booked Gibson 7 minutes added 92nd min Collins replaced by McCormick 94th minute Dion Charles for Bolton 96th minute Finley booked for kicking the ball away Playing in the 99th minute and there was on only 7 minutes extra 10th minute of extra time I think we are playing until Bolton score the winner FT Bolton 1 - 1 Rovers good result that for us
Good result in as much that we would all have taken a point there before the game was played, but having scored so early, and then conceding so late into injury time, it almost feels like we lost rather than gained an away point!
Today's line up v Charlton Belshaw, Gibson, Connolly, Thomas, Sinclair, Gordon, McCormick, Coutts, Evans, Collins, Coburn, Subs Jaakkola, Gibbons, Kilgour, Hoole, Whelan, Marquis, Saunders Ryan Inniss 20th min Charlton 1 - 0 Looking at the reports o I follow looks like a deserved lead. Looks like JB is not going to celebrate his 100th game in charge with a win Evans booked 29th min Has the game been stopped for some reason because there has been no updates since the 19th minute and it is now the 38th minute 1 minute extra time HT 1 - 0
HT sub for Rovers Connolly off Hoole on 46th minute Coutts booked 55th minute McCormick off Marquis on Todays attendance 12340, 1339 gas supporters John Marquis 61st minute 1 - 1 64th minute Stockley and Rak-Sakyi off Aneke and Leaburn on Charlton 1 - Marquis 2 72nd minute Blackett and Sessegnon replaced by Morgan and Chin 80th minute Whelan on Sinclair off 82nd minute
86 minute Josh Coburn down with a head injury, game soon resumed with or without Coburn is not said Kirk replaces Fraser 88th minute 5 added minutes to be played Collins of Gibbons on 90+2 Charlton 1 - 2 Rovers, good comeback and a win away from home 3 more points and zero GD 1st victory at the Valley for 60 years
A very good 3 points indeed! Excellent comeback and Marquis sounded superb - Sam Frost gave him ten out of ten in his player ratings, very rare. UTG!
Referee for todays match v Wycombe is Sunny Gill and is the first British South Asian to take charge on an EfL game since his farther Jarnail Singh over a decade ago. He has shown 12 yellow and 1 red card and has averaged 20 free kicks per game in 3 league 1 matches this season
Todays line up v Wycombe Belshaw, Gibson, Connolly, Thomas, Hoole, Sinclair, Collins, Coutts, Evans, Marquis, Coburn subs Jaakkola, Gibbons, Gordon, Finley, McCormick, Loft, Saunders
Wycombe 0 - 1 Rovers Josh Coburn 5th minute Asst Collins Bobby Thomas 1st yellow of the afternoon 8th minute booked for time wasting when he left a free kick for Belshaw to take Jordan Obita follows into the book in the 13th minute David Wheeler 22nd minute Wycombe 1 - 1 Jack Grimmer latest player to be booked 35th minute just after rovers had a penalty appeal turned down for a possible foul on Marquis 2 minutes extra to be played 45 + 2 Lewis Gibson yellow carded HT 1 - 1 4 yellow cards and 12 fouls the ref is certainly consistent 12 yellow cards and 4 with an average of 20 fouls per match and 12 yellow cards in 3 league 1 matches
Lewis Wing 48th minute Wycombe 2 - 1 58th minute Finley on Sinclair off As it stands Wycombe move into the last playoff place and Rovers drop down to 10th Lewis Wing yellow card for time wasting 67th minute McCormick on Marquis off 69th minute Wing off Thompson on 78th minute Loft on Gibson off 83rd minute Freeman on Mehmeti off 84th minute About 3 minutes plus extra time to get an equaliser and save a point Injury to Stryjek the Wycombe keeper looks as if he is fit to continue FT 2 - 1 We didn't seem to have much idea when they took the lead of how to get back on level terms 5 minutes of stoppage time
Interesting comment by Sam Frost " same old Wycombe always cheating" followed by the Gas chanting 2 - 1 to the referee
