I know the Italians are sitting back, but England look a totally different side now they've changed formation.

That's a cheap looking T-Shirt England are wearing........ What were Nike/FA thinking?

The Italian kit is just so stylish.......

Watching on Virgin Media Irish channel and the commentators can't believe the things the ref is letting go.......

If we weren't coming up to a World Cup, I'd say this would be the end for Southgate.

Only plusses tonight have been Dier, Maguire and Bellingham.
Foden disappointing.
James awful.
Sterling, apart from a couple of flashes, past his best.
Need a fresh start and new ideas.
We'll do well to get to the WC last 16.

The biggest problem is Southgate is afraid of leaving out certain players and this stops us from being able to field our strongest 11. He hasn't got the minerals for the big calls I'm afraid and it's what stopped us winning either of the last 2 big tournaments.

England without a goal from open play in last 4 games, soon to be 5 games....... and that with our supposed brilliant strike force

I think we all thought Foden and James should start.
Both have been poor, particularly James.

Thick Grealish talks himself into a yellow and is now suspended for the Germany game. Can he be trusted?

Sterling's England record is superb, but looks a spent force.

What would your starting 11 be?

Bellingham misses a good headed chance.

Depends who we have to play, exactly like last 2 tournaments. We've got yet another lovely group so no reason not to get through to knockout rounds. If we can miss any top teams again along the way who knows. If you get on a roll in tournaments you get confidence on the way, the only thing I'd be worried about as usual is the man picking the side and his tactical accumen. The defence is **** no matter who u pick but the talent is their infront of them if you have the balls to pick the right ones ! Sadly he hasnt

Dier and Maguire were good tonight.
More attacking players were poor.

I put it down ages ago Col and everyone said it was too attacking lol. But that's the way I've coached all the young teams I've had , and while any great team is built on a strong defence its a moot point for England cos we don't have any World class centre backs !
