I started in 75 when we were the best team in the land but "only" made 2nd place in Division 1. Was thinking that must have made me the optimist and you the pessimist, but we have never got to those same hights we reached 75/76 since imo, so probably not. I'll be a pessimist too, bound to sort it out....

It's the manager that's the difference not the side. Apart from Jones they don't have an outstanding team, and if you have Lumley in goal it's usually like giving away a goal start ! Tonight he got away with one after 2 mins, but made an excellent stop right near the end of extra time.Anyone watching Boro vs Spuds? Boro a different league to us. They are outplaying Spuds.
