Very surprising result tonight. As much as I like Pep Guardiola, I think he has taken City as far as he can. I expect City's owners will want a better return for their investment. Bye bye Pep.

Should be two cracking semi's. Bayern Munich are definetely the team to beat followed by PSG but I just feel there could be an unexpected winner this year. It's not that long since we played a pre-season friendly against Leipzig. They have progressed a lot since then even though they have invested heavily $€£$€£$€£.

City at their best are, just, as Barcelona during his time there were, brilliant to watch but I think Guardiola is not the brilliant tactical wizard that commentators give him credit for. If you have an eye for talent in the sense you can identify the thoroughbreds from the ranks of those touted to be worth tens of millions you will do well. He left Barca because he wanted a new challenge. At Bayern - another extremely wealthy club. And you'd have to say for all the trophies he failed there as well as Bayern never came close to winning the Champions league under him.

Lyons the only club I feel any warmth for left in. Bayern - just a monster, but at least one that is rooted in its city. PSG, like Citeh, financial cheats who will always, apparently, get away with it. RB Leipzig a club which has no heart or tradition, a brand, an advertising channel (though they play good football).

I like the format for the last 3 rounds though. They will be playing semi finals on the same day as a qualifying round for next season’s competition.

He has had virtually unlimited funds wherever he has managed so success is normally guaranteed but at City he was employed to win the Champions League and has failed miserably often against 'lesser lights'. Was reportedly given a £500 million 'warchest' when the CL ban was rescinded but the Sheikhs may be having second thoughts now...

I think Pep is a tactical genius at times. The way he deploys full backs for instance is incredibly inventive.
What I do think is, at times, he tries to be too clever for his own good and then, like many of the top coaches, sticks with it out of stuborness.

Good game between Seville and Utd.
Wanbasaka must be one of the most over rated players I've seen for a while.
Getting a bit feisty too.

For 10 seasons with Bayern and
Seville win

United did not convert their many chances and let in defensively poor second goal.

That is now three semi-final that United lost this season, so despite clear progress on the football front, there seems to be an issue of mental strength to reslove.

Well done to Sevilla, they played a great match, especially their goalie who literally kept them in the match several times.
