But the idea of watching them with a full house in Bundesliga 3 is oddly alluring. This is the club which took 30,000 (that’s thirty thousand) fans to the Olympic Stadion in Berlin earlier this season to see them play Hertha BSC in an early round cup game.

Manchester City have been banned from the Champions League for the next two seasons for "serious breaches" of UEFA's financial fair play regulations.

The Premier League champions will be barred from competing in UEFA club competitions and fined €30m (£24.9m), European football's governing body announced.


UEFA said Manchester City had overstated sponsorship revenue in accounts submitted between 2012 and 2016, and had "failed to co-operate" in the investigation.

Its regulations state a club's outgoings must not be much higher than its earnings.

A Manchester City statement said it was "disappointed but not surprised".

Watching Southampton v Burnley.
Holy ****, Burnley are a horrible team.
Really dirty, niggly, moany and play God awful kick and rush Sunday league football.

They’re more direct than most but the conditions warrant it today. He’s kept them up comfortably and taken them into Europe on a shoe string. Excellent manager.

Burnley on course for another scabby win. Southampton have tried to play football, but the storm has played into Burnley's hands with their Sunday league game.

And we will have Dyche (pronounced Dick) moaning on about something and saying how underrated he is even if they win.

I would be delighted with the relegation of all teams which play in claret and blue from the PL.
