It takes place right in the middle of the season? I hadn’t realised. What a load a bollocks. Women refs and now this.
Yep lol, complete bollo. Got to fit it in with the Qatar climate as it reaches 50 degrees in their summer !
Wouldn't it be fun if the Premier League refused to take a break and also refused to release any players from their clubs. Now that would be amusing !
I wish to register a formal protest over the Azerbaijan v Ireland result. Any follower or Ireland’s recent (ok long term) goal scoring form would know that they have zero chance of scoring three goals in a game without illegal and corrupt assistance. Really shocking stuff.
Australian football team ( Socceroos ) now on a 12 match winning streak, thrashing potential World Cup winners Oman, 1-0. It all looks a formality now, suffice to say we must now be favoured to step up and win the cup.
Never, mate. I have more chance of winning the lottery than Oz winning the cup, however, QPR have much shorter odds at 1,000,000 :1 and as a 50 year long fan, the satisfaction level of winning would far exceed anything the national team could achieve.
Jesus Didley you'd never make a bookie lol. We need to talk about your severe over pricing ! But if your offering those odds ?
Italy get back to winning ways by beating Belgium in the 3rd place Nations League game...... Spain v France currently 0-0 after half hour....... not a lot else to report so far......
At last we have a goal...... a minute after France hit the underside of the bar...... and now we have another goal, stunning equalizer from France...... After an hour of mediocrity we have 3 minutes of brilliance......
Very strangely...not a peep in Paris. Usually when there is a big France game on I hear some cheers when France score, and hear groans from the pub just down the road, but last night I heard nothing. Could be everyone staying home because of the pandemic/cold weather, but could be that this new tournament really hasn't generated much excitement.
England team for tonight's game. It looks strong and glad to see Foden playing again. please log in to view this image
I'd say that's fairly much Southgate's strongest starting 11 save for Phillips being beside Rice......... It'll be interesting to see how Foden and Grealish get on and who'll share the defensive responsibilities.....
.....and stay injury free as we need him for Saturday as Gray is with Jamaica and they don't play until Thursday........
Maguire for Mings surely? I think Southgate is looking at getting another attacking player on the pitch by playing one holding midfielder. It's a gamble against the top sides, but seems to be what most people have been calling for. I think it's the way to go, as we need to make the most of all our attacking talent.
