Ref seems to have made this game about himself a bit, a few needless delays in taking kicks and throws - not sure he’s realised it’s a friendly match. No yellow cards yet but 2 straight reds

I don't think the delays are down to the ref. He's waiting for some sort of OK from the 4th official.
It was more about times in the first half where he kept pulling back quickly taken free kicks and throw ins because they were taken 10yards away from where they should have been. Letter of the law of course he is right but they were in defensive areas so not much advantage gained, just seemed a bit needless given that it’s a friendly

It's good to see the keeper lump it rather than risky short passes every time like last season

Suprised not to see Dylan Jones, Ken Aboh, Tony Springett or Adegboyega in these 2 games.
Seems like we have seen a lot of last seasons u18s with the first team. Have the u23s got their own fixtures?

Aboh played this morning v Volendam, Suffolk. Came on for Forson in the second half.
