HT at the Riverside: 'Boro 0:0 Sunderland. Competitive, end to end, without the final touch in the box. Early ascendency by Sunderland; 'Boro gradually seizing control as the half progressed. Sunderland's standout player so far, Abdullah Ba, was yellow carded for making a card gesture to the ref after being fouled; fortunately for him, it was his first of the game!
Ended 1-1 which I consider a good result for us

Usually you'd be pleased to avoid any on-field contact with Celtic (and Scotland) captain McGregor. Not so last night though for first-time starter Adam Idah, after despatching his second and in this case, winning, penalty of the game. <applause>

I would like Ipswich do us a favour and beat West Brom in the early kick-off today. That would help drag them back into the fight for the final places, they have just crept away by three points.

I want Ipswich to win , it's shaping up to be a massive scramble for 5th & 6th & like crabs in a bucket we need West Brom Hull Coventry & Sunderland to be pulled back in as they attempt to escape.
Many of us still believe a play off spot is still achievable & many of the Doom goblins have either gone quiet or pretended they knew we would come good via the sorcery of xg

Just watched Arsenal destroy West Sham 6 - 0.away.
I dread to think how we would perform if we got promoted. :emoticon-0107-sweat

Was 1st half as well Bure, before going to bed. Saka, at 22, has now scored 51 goals with 49 assists in his Arsenal career.

Other results did us a favour tonight.

Huddersfield 1-0 Sunderland
Plymouth 2-2 Coventry

I watched the Plymouth game and Argyle were leading until the last kick of the game. Mumba gave away a free kick, which hit a crowd of players, deflected off Pitching and went in. The table now:
