From the BBC:

"Armenia 1:0 Scotland
Oh dear. A defensive nightmare. Grant Hanley loses a physical duel with Bayramyan wide on the right and the winger gets to the byeline before sliding the ball across to Bichakhchyan, who taps in the opener. Really poor from the Scotland defence."
Twitter comment:
"Bold approach from Scotland to play 3 people at centre back who look like they've never defended before in their lives."
<doh>

Any updates ?

Scotland won 4-1, so that was Armenia's only success on the night.

Meanwhile Robbie will no doubt brief us on England's prowess defensively as they are currently losing 0-4 to Hungary at Wembley.

Pukki scored Finland's first and provided the assist for the second, but Bosnia have come from behind to lead 3-2.

4-0 <laugh>

Well played Hungary

Any updates?
<doh><doh> Yes, the Scots were bailed out by their forwards and an early red card. To quote from the BBC match report:
"What did we learn?
Scotland boss Clarke would have settled for any kind of win, so to secure the three points with a handsome victory will be viewed as a bonus that has steadied a rocky ship.
However, it still will not mask the defensive fragility exposed by a side 53 places below Scotland in the world rankings until the hosts crumbled through their lack of discipline. Scotland's three-man central defence was again breached far too easily, with none of the starters making a case for regular game time."
Any comments Duncan?

And the BBC on England:

"England's dismal Nations League campaign continued as they slumped to their worst home defeat since 1928 against a ruthless Hungary to leave Gareth Southgate's side rooted to the bottom of Group A3. The Three Lions have now gone four games without a victory for the first time since 2014 and look worryingly out of form and confidence with a World Cup looming at the end of this year. They could do nothing but capitulate to a humiliating and potentially damaging defeat that had the crowd booing and baying for Southgate's job at the final whistle."

Good job Scotland weren't playing Hungary then, wouldn't you say Rick?

I must confess that I have very little love for team England and their preachy wet fart of a manager.

Kane penalties have flattered the side

Imagine getting all excited about Scotland losing 1-0 enough to type a damming condemnation of Handley, smugly pressing send only for Scotland to score 4 goals <laugh>
Yes "imagine", which is exactly what you are doing Duncan. I have absolutely no interest in whether Scotland win or lose. What I'm interested in is us having an EPL-quality central defence.
By the way, since you don't seem to have noticed, the "damning condemnation" was written by the BBC reporter, not me. And the score was neither here nor there to the reporter's verdict on Hanley's performance; to quote again: "Scotland's three-man central defence was again breached far too easily, with none of the starters making a case for regular game time." Clearly Scotland need someone better than Hanley, and so do we.
