What I hadn't noticed was when I checked the table before they kicked off, it was an "as it stands" table which gave them both a point as it was a nil nil draw, so ANY Leicester win would have taken them below us 
And just to keep up my unimpeachable reputation for pedantry, since Newcastle were below us (on 5 points to our 6) after the last round of games, there was never any question of them "dropping below us" as per your original post. In fairness, Newcastle have had a fairly hard start to the season like ours. Their big win was against Spurs, but two draws are all they have to show for the other six games including a 1-3 thrashing at CR.
