Assuming this game goes the way it's looking likely to, Derby's form in their last 8 games will be: W7 D1 GD +13
Well at least we now know who we're going to be playing? I only wish that tomorrow, with 30 mins to play, we're also cruising with a 2-0 lead - likely not, far too easy for our style!
They'll rightly start as favourites but it's a one-off game. I didn't think they were any great shakes when we lost at their place and they'll remember that. A little matter of Wigan to negotiate first...
Well, may it be us or Wigan that goes to wembley there is only one favourite in the final and thats Derby.
Derby looks so good they might be quite a suprise package next season in the prem. I cant see anyone to beat them in the final.......How on earth we let McClaren to go away?
4-0 is embarrassing, Brighton really have been shocking. Still, Derby might just be a bit over-confident now...
Perhaps last year the club should have let Harry "retire" due to those medical issues with his knee and appointed Steve McClaren in his place - I think some of us thought that was perhaps the master-plan. No real standout stars in the Derby line-up, they just play as a solid team. He has certainly brought Derby a long way from this debut:- Derby 4 Ipswich 4 (01 October 2013) A superb second-half fight-back saw Derby County, under the watchful eye of new manager Steve McClaren, earn a draw with Ipswich. please log in to view this image No home comforts for Derby Derby are still seeking their first home win of the season. (they didn't have to wait long)
Whoever goes up McClaren has done excellent work at Derby. I have to admit that even Derby was very good then again Brighton looked like league two club and played very poorly throughout the match.
Stephen deserves it as I mentioned a few months back Get past Wigan anything can happen Martin is outstanding as mentioned in my championship team of the year Very good player They have great form but we are spoilers Harold earn your money you tosspot
In fairness, Derby have had the rub of the green somewhat. They were outplayed in the 1st half on Thursday, and Brighton should've been a couple of goals clear (and should've had a pen). Plus, Brighton haven't looked the same since Buckley got injured midway through that game- he wasn't 100% today either. Greer's injury today after 24 mins really helped Derby, and they should've had a man sent off too. Wigan's Wembley experience and QPR's individual brilliance stand a good chance of toppling Derby on the 24th. I'd only really give them a 60/40 edge
Perhaps if we can make it past Wigan to Wembley........ please log in to view this image ......will give this guy something to squeal about? please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
No helicopter jobs required lads. They had another trophy at Anfield all ribboned up just in case. I read it in the paper during the week
That's the trouble with these vulgar modern trophies, they're ten-a-penny. Compare that to the original League Championship trophy which is the one we won in 2010-11, that is a work of art...
