Thanks for posting that I was gonna part with a tenner/13 euro for the club live stream...I thought they weren't doing this when the match was on sky though?
Apparently it's a new thing this season. They're showing midweek championship games with an option to watch others by pressing the red button. Tonight our game is one of the red button options.
The two most interesting managers in this league, Graham Potter at Swansea and Marco Bielsa at Leeds, get a 2-2 draw. Afterwards Bielsa said that ‘there are some important aspects we need to correct’. And you just know that he knows exactly what he is talking about and what he will do.
Brentford in front at Villa, Falsehoops winning leaving us on our own with nul points as it stands. Joey got Fleetwood all geed up they are 3-0 up at Scunny...
Have l told anyone how upset l am that Stoke have been whipped 0-3 by Wigan and that they are winless? Hope Wigan have played their best game already.
that last second equalizer cost me £90. Commentator said Brentford were the youngest team in the Championship and if anything they were bossing Villa. So much for McLaren harping on about our inexperience is costing us. If you are good enough . . .Sadly not many, if any of our players would get into that Brentford side, that's how far we've fallen
Brentford have a very shrewd player scouting system, it started way back when Warburton was manager and it continues to produce quality players that eventually get sold on whilst all the time improving the team like a conveyer belt. They carefully pick their managers as well, Dean Smith did well at Walsall and has taken the Bees forward in the short time he's been there. With a new stadium already under construction their future seems rosy, they're doing everything right except perhaps their choice of away kit which was seriously pants...
Wolves look like a very good side to me, with a decent coach who comes across well on the telly. My Leicester mate saw them last week and said his lot were lucky to get a win. Wolves have bought their team but in an organised way. Neves, I think, looks like a very good player indeed.
They were actually better against Leicester last week, how they lost I don't know. They are actually a brilliant side, not only will they stay up, they'll be around 10th imo. I can easily see 8-10 poorer sides.
How very dare you Sir! Modifying my copyrighted text must surely be worth a £100k in today's mad world. I will see you in Court! (You're right of course but let's not let facts get in the way of a good legal case!).
It's got to be the strongest 2nd tier league in the world by a very big margin. Take a couple of teams out of the top league in Germany, Italy, Spain and France and the rest would struggle in the Championship imo.
They certainly would if they chose to play football the way most teams do in the Championship. It’s certainly the most competitive second league in the world, although that will change as the clubs with money (gambling owners and the new mega parachutes) turn it into a split league like the PL. I would actually like to see the likes of Hertha Berlin and Sampdoria, big clubs without a hope of winning their own leagues, have a go at the Championship. I think you are right that they would suffer, but out of culture shock rather than lack of talent. Wolves, though of course they spent a fortune, were a real bright spot for me last season, showing that playing good football can work even in this blood and thunder, generally effort before quality, competition. I hope Leeds can continue on that path this season (though it’s a shame it’s Leeds).
