Hilariously, Germany have been relegated and France failed to win the same group. The four semi finalists are the hosts Portugal, England, Switzerland and The Netherlands.
As I have said before, this guarantees that we will be drawn with Germany in the Euro Qualifiers. But they do seem to have imploded a bit, while we are most definitely on the up. Fear no one. The semi finals for the Nations League take place four days after the Champions League final. I hope no English teams make it, so Southgate gets time with the squad, I’d rather like England to be the inaugural winners of this competition.
The four best sides in Europe at the moment, simple (Yeah I know France are the reigning World Champion). Had the Netherlands to beat France and get something in Germany on my betting this week, they are on the up with maybe the best centre back pairing in the world. Doesn't make the semi final easier for England, the standings are a fair reflection on performances. A dream final would be England v Netherlands. But look out for the Swiss, great blend of experience and youth.
Yep. I wasn't for a moment suggesting that England would win it mate. All difficult games there, but we do have a good chance imo. I was more reflecting on Germany's decline and the fact that, good as they are, France are not invincible.
Think Portugal would be a good fit for England. To defensive minded to cope with Englands youth and energy imo. I wouldn't say Germany are in decline. They are struggling badly though with the loss of many senior pros and lack leaders at the moment. But they have an abundunce of exciting and promising young players like England coming through. I'm sure they will get it right sooner rather than later as there are potential leaders there given time and experience.
I think we can win it Perfect platform to go on and win the Euros with this team ... greater stronger every game imo
As long as Southgate continues to give youngsters a chance the U20 and U17 World Champions will continue to blossom, sometimes the fearlessness and exuberance of youth can be a great advantage. His selections in the Croatia match showed none of those who did well in the World Cup can rest on their laurels and with such a large number of quality youngsters coming through the future is indeed looking good...

well deserved draw for Rotherham, our opponents Tuesday. I'd be well happy with a point after witnessing that
