Dier so unlucky with a header against the post.
Lovren attempts to cut sterling in half!!
Looks like a 0-0 or someone will pinch it 1-0.

Very very boring game. I presume Henderson and dier are both playing enabling dier to drop into 3 and push the full backs on. Henderson does my head in!!!

I watched him versus Leeds u23 Beth. Tiny and absolute lightening pace. Was very impressed with him at right back but he looked better further forward. He was the skipper that night aswell.

All these England players give their all, but I’m afraid, as Uber has pointed out, our Achilles heel is creativity and imagination. Playing both Dier and Henderson is not going to solve this, I thought Southgate was going to give a run out to some of the new kids in the squad. As it stands I’d have Stones as out most creative player in that team.

As Bob said, Dier and Henderson are playing so that Dier can drop between the CBs, forming a 3. Trouble is, Croatia are a tough nut to crack and as you say, we lack creativity.
I presume Southgate is caught between playing the youngsters and trying to not come bottom of the group.
Barkley isn't the answer imo. Creativity will eventually come from the young guns imo.

I would like to see sterling and Barkley both come off for a couple of the young guns.

Henderson does my head in at this level.
Sancho on now. He looks the real deal.

England by far the better side. Must, must, must take their chances.
    Sancho looked very good.
Very good second half from England.
    Croatia played for the draw.
Beat them at Wembley and we won't finish bottom.

    After half-time they were.
England completely outplayed them first half and if Kane and lindgard hadn't missed sitters would have been out of sight at half-time.
Also outplayed them the other night, but again failed to take great chances.

First time they have ever led in a match let alone their first ever victory, Armenia had Henrikh Mkhitaryan of Arsenal, Gibraltar had Jayce Oliveira of Abingdon Utd. Unbelieveable result...

It is. Still can’t really be arsed with it. International football outside of tournaments has become a drag. Not that the club game is much better.
