Medical emergency at Oakwell so Barnsley v Burton is postponed. I hope anyone involved makes a speedy recovery.

There's a game being played in Cork this afternoon in memory of Liam Miller who died earlier this year at just 36 years of age, monies being raised to help support his family and various charities. The game is between a vintage Man Utd side and a vintage ROI/Celtic side and is being held at the GAA ground with a sell out 45000 crowd after the GAA initially refused the use of the ground.

Hopefully a lot of money will be raised for his family and the charities in the area.

    From RTE......

Penalties: Dion Dublin, from Homes Under the Hammer, has the chance to win it for United. This is real pressure for a the man who hosts the factual renovation and auction television show. All those years of looking at half-demolished walls and leaky taps have obviously helped Dublin to hold his nerve and he nails the penalty, the same way he would a load bearing joist, handing United a 3-2 win.

Once again Dublin win in Cork and everyone's happy.

Almost 43000 at the game, some crowd for a Tuesday afternoon........

Switching between the Ryder Cup and West Ham v Man Utd.
West Ham 1-0 up and Utd, in a very strange line up, look poor.

2-0 now to West Ham. Jose is really struggling. Players out of position in an experimental 3-5-2. Very odd.

Loaning him to a club that were one of our relegation rivals just about sums up how f*cking dumb our management are, ludicrous decision...

Just watching Scum v Scousers and the quality of the football, back in the mid 70s we were up at that sort of level, it's enough to make you weep...

I rate him highly, actually my favourite player at the club. The team should be built around him and Eze.

But if he's not going to play cause the management rate others higher (Scowen good grief), then him playing regularly for Rotherham in the Championship is the best option imo. He will come back a better player, hopefully we're still in this league then.

Sarri v Klopp, whatever you think of the clubs they manage, these are class acts and have a genuine desire to play the game in a beautiful way. Plus the best players in the world to pick.

Nice to see the two managers at the end of the game show such genuine respect for each other, both playing at another level, pure class on and off the pitch...

And at the opposite end of the scale from Sarri v Klopp, the Warnock v Dyche battle of top English managers ends up with Colin crying in his beer.

    Here’s an interesting statistic.

8 minutes and 15 seconds of the Cardiff v Burnley game were spent waiting for Sean Morrison, the Cardiff centre back and long throw specialist, to take throw ins. He averages 25 seconds per throw and Colin obviously wanted him to take every one.
