Many of the foreign 'students' are invited to join the University through their rowing prowess rather than their academic qualification, or it was so 20 or so years ago, I'd presume nothing has changed since then. Just find it hard to get any enthusiasm for what is a very different event to what it was originally and unless you were fortunate enough to have attended either...
