So penalties it is for Solihull Moors & Yeovil - good luck to them. Compared to our usual annual pathetic FA Cup effort, a lot of work - two tied matches & penalties, to proceed for these teams. Perhaps under Ollie we'll have our own FA Cup run. Yeovil miss 1st penalty, Solihull Moors score Both score 2nd penalties Yeovil miss 3rd penalty, Solihull score Yeovil score 4th, as do Solihull who are through - congratulations to them!
The ultimate irony, Yeovil, the greatest FA Cup giant-killers of them all are victims of a giant-killing...
Don't you have to be a giant to be the victim of a giant-killing, seems like more of a medium sized midget-murdering
With Max Ehmer and JET playing, and even TED's Bradley Dack. Have to leave for an appointment - good luck Brackley to join the other giant killers - still abour 30 mins to play. Three Walkers' on the Brackley team sheet playing.
Just back from my theraputic massage - really glad for Brackley after a hard slog through ET - at least no penalty kicks involved to declare a winner. So both JET and Bradley Dack drew blanks. James Armson hit a stunning hat-trick as National League North Brackley held off a Gillingham fightback to knock the League One side out of the FA Cup. Armson truck twice to put the hosts in control of a thrilling first-round replay, but close-range shots from Jake Hessenthaler and substitute Scott Wagstaff forced extra-time. An own goal by Gills goalkeeper Stuart Nelson made it 3-2 to the hosts. And Armson's 20-yard effort ensured the win despite a late Cody McDonald goal. Having scored in the 2-2 draw to force a replay, Armson put his side in front when he smashed in a fine first-time volley from 12 yards. He followed that up by producing a classy finish with the outside of his right foot to make it 2-0 - a reward for Brackley's impressive start. But Hessenthaler scored his first FA Cup goal from an acute angle and Wagstaff's goal a minute after coming on seemed to have given the Gills the impetus. Both sides had chances to win it in normal time but it was Brackley who prevailed in the extra period to set up a second-round trip to League Two side Blackpool. http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/37905204 Brackley Town 1Walker 2MylesBooked at 86mins 6Dean 5Graham 3GudgerBooked at 92mins 7Walker 4Byrne 11Walker 8ArmsonBooked at 115mins 10DigginSubstituted forMoyoat 89'minutes 9NdlovuSubstituted forLoweat 104'minutes Substitutes 12Lowe 14Moyo 15Pitt 16Cox 17Farrell 18Rankin 19Noon Gillingham 1Nelson 2Jackson 5Ehmer 6Oshilaja 3GarmstonSubstituted forWagstaffat 66'minutesBooked at 110mins 8Hessenthaler 4HerdSubstituted forWrightat 45'minutesBooked at 115mins 11Knott 50Emmanuel-Thomas 10McDonald 23DackSubstituted forDonnellyat 64'minutes Substitutes 7Wagstaff 9Donnelly 13Hadler 16Osadebe 18Pask 33Byrne 44Wright Referee: Robert Jones Attendance: 1,654
What a heart breaker for Dover - they almost wrapped up the match in regular time, then scored the go-ahead goal in ET, only to lose with Cambridge scoring 3 goals in 10 mins - plucky performance that they should be proud of. Just watching the 1st half Brighton v Villa, thinking that Glenn Murray is a right cart horse, then he bangs one in from 22 yards, 1-1 half time
