The other Norwich Dutch dud, Ricky van Wolfswinkel, signed around the same time as Leroy Fer has also mostly failed to impress after being dumped out on loan - prior to his spell at Norwich he managed to score 28 goals in 55 games for Sporting, yet 1 in 25 at Norwich (small wonder with Fer was supporting him with 3 in 30?) - Chris Hughton was probably doomed with that pair.

I see he is currently 5 in 11 with Vitesse, so perhaps he has found his goal scoring boots again?

I always thought Chris Hughton might have been a good managerial selection for us and considered that he was unfairly treated with his dismissal from Newcastle.

    Norwich City[edit]
At the end of the 2011–12 season Birmingham gave Norwich City permission to talk to Hughton about their vacant managerial post, and he signed for the Canaries on 7 June 2012.[50] His first league game in charge was against Fulham, where Norwich lost 5-0,[51] although this result was followed by memorable league victories against both Arsenal[52] and Manchester United,[53] as well as a League Cup victory against Tottenham Hotspur.[54] Norwich however experienced bad form throughout the winter and towards the end of the season. Wins against West Brom and Manchester City, on the last day of the season, prevented relegation, meaning Wigan Athletic instead went down.[55] Having battled against relegation for the whole of the season, Hughton's first season in charge saw them finish in 11th place.[56]

On 6 April 2014, Norwich City announced they had "parted company" with Hughton with immediate effect. At the time of his departure Norwich were in 17th place in the Premier League, one place and five points above the relegation zone.[57] Since leaving Norwich, Hughton was offered, and rejected, assistant manager roles at various Premier League clubs.[58]

As usual, Barca get the ref on their side. Nailed on penalty and he books Sterling for a dive.
    Definite contact. Howard Webb agrees.
I've said it before that Barca are so good they don't need all the help they get from referees.

Watched Ludicrous v Arsenal 1st half, four goals and absent defending but this 2nd half City v Barca has been brilliant and Barca distinctly 2nd best. If City keep this up in the PL they'll walk it...

One of the best games I've seen for a long while.
Barca had some players missing, but City have been brilliant.

Great to see a team from the Premier league playing like this.
