benny is having a really good game. goal before half time would be nice. doesn't look like either side has got out of 1st gear yet.

Our wide men aren't staying wide, so Adebayor and Modric are being dragged out into those positions, which means that there's either nobody in the middle when we get to the box or Bolton have everyone back by the time we get there.
Parker and Livermore is just overkill for a home game against Bolton, for me.
We need proper width and we're looking to the wrong people to provide it.
 
We have used this moveable formation without a lot of success recently, it flatters to deceive. I can see the point of Bale SOMETIMES moving over but it is becoming all the time with other players filling. I think it's all getting too complicated, we should be able to keep it simple against Bolton.
 
Other than Lennon we don't seem to have a natural right sided midfielder.. so VdV, Modric, Krancjar play out of position. Without Lennon a lot of our games seem to have been unbalanced. Any chance we get a winger in the summer.
 
Parker and Livermore is overkill but the latter is having (yet another) excellent game - so take off Parker for..... Dos Santos????
Can't complain about the chances created - and Benny, Bale and Walker are all having good games, but we must put one of these away soon or else you can write the script: one Bolton attack and a a goal and we'll be out!!
 
This is far too reminiscent of our strikers going on strike the other season, I just cannot believe we're missing the gilt chances we are, plus, just sheer bad luck...its giving me the ump!

why not! but it'll never happen!

to be honest lads, even when lennon plays, he's not great most of the time. he doesn't run at people like he used to. no one can catch him and there's no excuse for it. he's frustrated me immensely over the last 6-12 months. - (more likely to get crucified for that HBIC).
