Not in my book but seen it happen several times. There were opponents around. He came for a cross and lost it, then when trying to regather it he ended up outside the box with the ball in his hands. I remember Neville Southall being sent off when we beat Everton 4-2 during the 92/93 season for an identical situation. It would be up to the ref, sometimes it's given sometimes it ain't.
