It doesnt sound a lot to me. Would you say theres room for any development bar the actual ground extension? Possibly hotel attached?

They could build one over the existing car parks, and include parking spaces in the new design.

Exactly. Ground floor stays as a parking. A hotel or two, bars and restaurants built first floor and above.

If the Council build the Ice Arena and an Olympic swimming pool on the West Park, KCOM and Walton Street site, the development wouldn't be covered by NE1. They could leave the front of the park as it is, more or less. They would have other problems like where to put Hull Fair and travelling to and from the KCOM on match days. But there doesn't seem to be anything in the plan to stop the development if the owners of Hull City and the City Council want a major development on the site.

I remember a few years back when the council were going to build a school/ hotel complex on Walton Street. Like a lot of their plans it never got any further then the drawing board.

That's a different question though and reflects on the quality of the Councillors. Not whether it is possible for the Council to do it.

There's definitely room for a development and quite a bit more than just a hotel, I expect the club/SMC to make an announcement shortly (depending on what does or doesn't happen with the ownership).

If I was devoted to Asda and had never shopped anywhere else for going on 50 years, then yes.
