Just a few points.

1. Penalty/not a penalty. It took all the chaps on the box at least 15 minutes to decide that they couldn't agree, so what chance the officials. Anyway, Mensah should never have allowed himself to be put in that position, in the first place.

2. In order to win a football match you need to score goals. We hardly created a chance today, and our only shot on goal was not until the 86th minute.

3. I am not laying blame at Mig's door, but will all of you who say he's better than Gordon please stop using how good he is at deaing with crosses as your rationale - he is not.

4. Two players off inside 25 minutes with what looked like strains. What's that all about?

5. A few weeks ago I dared to use the phrase "reality check", and got told off. Well, chaps, believe me, this was a reality check - we are not as good as some of you think.

6. I think that 2 wins from our last 8 should keep us up, but remember we went 14 without a win last year.

7. I'm going to have a drink.

I'm not gonna pull your post to bits marra, but why exactly did Mig warrant a mention?

He didn't do a thing wrong all day.

We won't progress without width down the left and a striker who can win headers and hold the ball up, but that's all that we need.

2 years ago we needed EVERYTHING.

Let's not get too downbeat, City next week then a run of games where we can pick up a load of points and hopefully finish top 8, a great season, and a great platform.

Took a particular look at him because of the debate, BB. Like I said, result was not his fault, but what I did notice was that with the few crosses he had to deal with, he shat himself.
 
Aye he's far from the finished article, it could be the case that we need to look for another keeper with Flash's injury problems, and break Mig in slowly.

He will be a very good keeper, they grow with age, and he's got a very strong starting point.

6 paragraphs of perfect sense. 1 not, I don't agree with your summation of Mignolet in para 3 but hey 6 out of 7 aint bad.

Yeh, don't get me wrong, I think he's excellent. I just happen to think that Gordon's better, that's all.
 
I thought we lacked pace and as a result our build up play was too slow. That said, we must have been disrupted by the early substitutions. No penetration leaves me thinking that Gyan desperately needs someone up front to share the load and that Welbeck looks more threatening when on the left and coming into the centre.
Was disapointed with Sess.

Aye,

Think Sess had his worst game thus far, but he'll be an absolute machine for us next season.

Easy to forget we'd allhave been delighted with top 10 pre season, we're still in great shape, if a little deflated.

Although his forecasts are widely derided, you can't help but sit up when he says this:

Sunderland v Liverpool (1330)

Not only do I feel Sunderland are due a home win but Liverpool played in the Europa League on Thursday and will still be without Steven Gerrard for the trip to Wearside.

Sunderland are starting to get a few men back from injury - Danny Welbeck looked really sharp on his return from a knee problem against Arsenal - and, when his players are fit, Steve Bruce has an excellent squad at his disposal.

They're a top-10 Premier League side and have spent proper money on players who would get into several teams higher up the table than them. They've been going about their business in the right way - it's an extremely well run club with a good manager.

Prediction: 2-1
