Only what I read on OTIB so could be true or just someone making it up. I would suspect there is something in his contract regarding relegation with Villa so possibly his money would be reduced anyway.
Good player and worth considering, would prefer to wait to see if Middlesborough get promoted and go back for Maguire
 
Great result and could have been a better winning margin apparently.

I did fear for us when we went 1-0 down, but credit to the boys.

We're going to be ok I reckon.

Time will tell if Johnson Junior is the cheap choice we all think he is, and how far he can take us, but for now let's just enjoy another 3 points !!
 
agree on the Tomlin comment ... we need to make him the happiest fan favourite ... wouldn't say open cheque but certainly go in for £3m his wages is going to be high .. 5 year plan is now 3, so 3 year contract with good win bonuses or position in league bonus and SL'S personal Christmas presents to the team being a pension pot for the future!
Baker would be a good acquisition.... Villa will have the wages to pay for 2 years at least before maybe having to reduce? So down to the player really and us?
Dack should have gone in with a bid of £3m
Colchester guy £2m
Clough at £3M plus wages we didn't spend it in the summer but were willing for £9m to be spent so £8m would have been a bargain and looking at half a seasons wages saved plus the odd £1m could have started the 2016 17 season with less to do ... likely from a starting point in mid to high table!

Is it simply not possible for you to understand that these players just don't want to come here, its not a move that appeals to them and they have turned it down.. spouting how many millions of pounds should be thrown at it will not change that!
