    Me too. And agree its a ****hole! Then again, would rather live here than Southampton! <laugh> Go figure!
    And I can say that as I am from down that way, and my family live down there (and of course am proud to be from down there)! But if I was a defensive football player, I'd also rather work for Koe than any other manager in the Premiership. Imagine what you could soak up from that man.

    Article from Echo saying that Saints are hoping the Toby situation will be resolved by next week. Also confirming that Atletico are intending to pay us our compo, so the decks are clear for negotiations. Articles from other sources are concentrating on the latter action and putting Spurs up front to sign him. Toby's preference will have a big input here as he can't be forced to join any team, so let's hope he wants to come here. Not sure I can take another week, so let's hope it's quicker than that.

    I'm not really convinced Levy is going to spend upwards of 15m on another CB. He already has Vertongen, Wimmer and Fazio, backed up by Dier and Kaboul. I can see them selling Kaboul, but not the others.

    I agree FLT, I don't believe Levy will pay anything more than we will, so we are in the driving seat on this one regardless of what the red top trash report.

    About as much as in most rumours i.e. probably very little. How often have we read 'done deal' and it's not. Rumours circle like crap going down a drain.

    Anything that makes it look like he's signing with us is accurate and reliable. Anything contradictory is

    • A rehashing of an old story
    • From a joke source
    • London-biased
    • Unsubstantiated rumour
    • Spread by Spurs
    • Laughable
    • Pitiful

    Delete whichever doesn't apply (in the unlikely even that they aren't all true)

    His bio says he is a Belgian journalist who concentrates on the EPL. Anyone can call himself a journalist, so not clear if he has any weight or just recycles rumours.

    We really really want Toby, so we may be seeing him as a massive coup for another team when perhaps he isn't. We are probably looking at a lot of players, but won't go for all of them. Spurs are probably the same. We are like nervous race horses shying at every piece of paper blowing in the wind.
