But I have read on your board that all your players are "the best in their position", if so then surely he is worth the best money?
Ramos and Silva are title winning CBs because they are part of title winning teams, not necessarily because they are the best CBs.
I never worry about things like that

As for Ramos and Silva, they wouldn’t be title winning CBs if they weren’t any good. Both are elite level leaders and widely recognised as two of the best around. Toby is a great CB, one of the best we’ve had in years but he ain’t on their level.

So because he is in a team that is incapable of winning the league he is not at their level, no wonder he wants to leave.

with CB's possibly, I think it's more of a case of how well they compliment each other, rather than how good each one is.
I think to suggest someone isn't worth a price tag or a wage structure is showing concern of sorts and I don't believe any of us have never balked at some of the sums associated with our clubs
He was at Atleti when they won the league and couldn’t get in over Godin and Miranda. So he’s even been at a league winning side yet played minimal games. So it suggests he’s just below the level of those elite CBs.
Yes you are. We feel we’ve definitely got some of the best players in the Prem - three successive top three finishes would back that up - but the best in their positions? Not seen anyone say that we have the best in a number of positions. The only one we probably may say that about is Kane and when looking around Europe at other strikers, it’s hard to name too many better.

I believe this was the window we should have spent on proven talent ready for the first team, it's what the team needs, I feel.
But.....
You really need to read more, off the top of my head Walker, Rose, Ericksen, Dembele and Kane have been described as such, I couldn't swear to it at this point but am fairly sure I have seen Toby, Verts and Dele described in the same way.
Never seen that phrase used, always best in their position.

I don’t get it. Are you suggesting we’ve been after a striker that’s better than Kane? Unless we’re chasing Dybala/ Cavani/ Lewandowski/ Suarez, then yeah, whoever we’re linked with will be a back up to Kane.
