On a real, you reckon Mourinho is going to last the season ?
He looks like he's on the cusp of another massive meltdown tbh

Laugh if they lose to Lesta just after the window slams shut....Mourinho will go bezerk...I like him though...makes me laff

What would you class as silly money given that you think Toby is one of the best CBs in the world?

He used to be. Not any more.

If he was, we'd give him a contract closer to what he's been demanding.

As I said before, he's probably worth no more than £10m, tops. If we can take £50m off United, I'd be happy with that.

So if he is starting in your first team next season will you be writing letters of complaint to Levy and Poch?

Isnt spurs wage structure common knowledge?

You don't pay big bucks.

It's effectively been blown open.

We could easily pay Toby what he wants. The question is, however, does Poch think he's worth it?

What we can't do is match the likes of United in paying bench-sitters the kind of wages that we pay our first XI. We need to pick and choose.

Of course he wants to leave like Walker, Keane, Modric, Bale, Carrick. They all wanted to leave otherwise they would have just played out their contracts.

Walker left a year ago...Keane left 10 years ago, Modric left 6 years ago, Bale left 5 years ago, Carrick left 12 years ago and Berbatov left 10 years ago...so only 1 recent out of those named.

Walker was sold without a ruck cos we had a replacement and got good money with no haggling. He made it clear he wanted out.

Toby has refused a contract and looks like leaving. The club have a replacement in Sanchez (some think Sanchez is rubbish but he is very good in my opinion) and did well last season after Toby was out injured from esrly November...he only played 2 or 3 league matches from November til the end of the season and we only lost 3 of those league matches.
The ruck is united refused to either pay our asking price or to deal re Martial.

My view is he will go but current rumours on sky (about as reliable as a Henderson penalty I know) say they now want Maquire.

....

**** sorry...forgot this was the prem board ... back to wumming it is then

If he's match fit, he'll play.

Why would anyone not want a match-fit Toby to play?

I don't understand the point you are trying to make.

You are only trying to convince yourself. No one else is buying it.

To stay in that top4 you are gonna need to pay, big time

It's on its way, Commie.

Rome wasn't built in a day - no where near it.

We're getting there, and we're doing it in a way that doesn't expose us to financial ruin.

But is it?

Or will you stagnate?

Unless you pay the money, you won't progress any further. Which is a shame as they've done well recently

The new wages we’ve given recently would suggest we’re not being as tight as we used to be.

Kane now on £200k+. Poch £165k. Son likely on around £120k+ as when he joined he was on £90k. Lamela was on £80k before his new deal so would imagine he’s probably north of £100k now. Eriksen and Vertonghen supposedly in process of being offered new ones, Eriksen will likely earn not far off Kane if he agrees terms, would imagine Vertonghen being offered something like £130k. We also offered Toby £130k, which as far as I’m aware would make him one of the best paid CBs in Europe but he rejected it, rumour is he wants £180k, great CB but he ain’t worth that.

Oh, I didn't know all that.

That's mad money.

Trust me, if you feel he could help you win things he is worth that.
