He's a very poorly guy, I've left it since the 9th April, when he was last online, so that's nearly four weeks now, but there is no easy way to say that someone is terminally ill.

He wanted me to be able to tell you the truth after he's gone, so it would be no mystery and he asked if I left it until after a few weeks of non activity.

I know you may have lots of questions, but I'm not going to divulge his prognosis at this time, I will leave it for another month or two, as I'm not certain of his current medical condition, by that I am meaning, is he alive, if he is alive is able to communicate (type) or understand communication via reading, I can't give you the answers I'm afraid.

Why am I telling you now, I worry about reading any obtuse comments on the forum, afterall, not606 is a place of banter and I had to measure when that time had come to tell you.

So all I can really say at this point in time is leave some kind messages as if he can read them.

I'll continue willing Everton to stay up.

Knew he had some pretty serious health issues from past conversations... had a suspicion something was up as he has never been the type to not 'face up' ...

Football rivalries pale into insignificance against real life trials and trauma and if you do look in @Tobes know that my thoughts and very best wishes are sincerely with you and your family and I hope you can come through it and bounce back.

God, no. No, no, no. We both got ill around the same time, and all I can say is that, for over 15 years, he's been - as much as anybody in cyberspace is - a friend. I know there's been much winding-up about Everton going on, and a few posters have PM'd me to ask if I knew he was okay. I always replied I thought he was, but in the back of my mind I feared...

All I can now say is that you beat me to being a granddad. I hope that kid is an uplifting gift to you now, mate. Stay as strong as you can be, and remember, friend and foe alike, you have many on this place who care for you and are in their thoughts.

Really like Tobes seems like forever that I was chatting to him on JA606 and convinced him to jump across to us here, was looking forward to meeting up with him at the Merseyside derby and then Covid happened and ****ed that up.
All the best mate if you can read this I really hope you're back with us soon. More importantly healthy and with your family.

Sad to hear about Tobes...life just takes the piss sometimes it seems

Everything read on here is just opportunist banter...which is the heart and soul of this place and we all give and take on here. Tobes has always been part of them kind of shenanigans so he probably expects nothing less from us considering the plight of his beloved Toffee men.

insha'Allah Tobes gets back to his best soon and we see him back here giving Peej some much needed support.
