Reality of life is brutal at times. I lost one of my close friends to an accident last year aged 30. If indeed Tobes has passed then may he rest in peace
Sort of hoping he’s still alive, and about to return here fully recovered, at which point he will deliver a well aimed kick in the verbals to all of us for writing him off.
I’d not heard from Tobes for too long so looked on here and found this thread. I’m gutted. We chatted by DM for years. He was a top man. Loving and proud father, successful businessman, proper Toffee. We continued to chat on social media after I stopped posting on this hellsite. We’re a similar age and he was a good source of advice. Things got better for him and it all seemed like he’d got through the worst of it and then it reversed. I never met him in person but I like to think that we were friends.
Funnily enough I was wondering the other week if you were aware of this. Assumed you were as knew you two were pretty close. Very sad indeed. Hope you and the family are good.
He was exactly who he said he was. He didn’t exaggerate, he didn’t lie. When I joined this hellsite we argued about football before finding out that we were very similar when it came to other, more important, stuff.
Nice to see you around mate, you went missing at a time that coincided with a lot of tragedy and i must admit i wondered about you. Always enjoy a joust with you but if you plan on sticking around please take it easy on me i'm getting old now (64 today).
You didn’t come to pay your respects to HIAG or Fosse when they died Stan. Could have at least got the wine gif out.
Morning Stan. TBH, just glad you're alive as you were one earmarked as potentially hit by Covid, as people are when they just leave the hellsite. Take it you heard about HIAG?
