It doesn't confuse me as such, but in a related topic, it annoys me when people go on about banana trees when there are no such things, they are banana plants.
Well according to QI, there's no such thing as a fish. After a lifetime studying fish the biologist Stephen Jay Gould concluded that there was no such thing as a fish. He reasoned that although there are many sea creatures, most of them are not closely related to each other. For example, a salmon is more closely related to a camel than it is to a hagfish. I'm not really sure why you'd want to keep dragging it up, as we seem to have moved on, but as you have... It possible is, although nobody did that, so it can't possibly be the real reason. Sock accounts are supposed to be bannable offences too. Maybe the mods a hypocrite, a liar, a puppet, or just a **** mod. Who knows, as nobody seems to have the backbone to explain. EDIT. That's interesting, the sock I was responding to seems to have been vapourised, yet I got abused by the mods for pointing out whose sock it was before. Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive.
I and others have been on here since September 2007. It says on most profiles 2011 because @Mick the owner of this award winning site made a **** of things after 4 years and all accounts were lost so we all had to join again. @Mick you club footed, ginger, fenian bastard, sort this shambles out you **** or you can go up on stage yourself on the very off chance that we win another award. I actually intended this to be the line drawn and move on thread, but it's clear some people can't let go. They're still trying to 'win' arguments they lost best part of ten years ago. It's why despite us leaving the safespace to them as they wanted, they follow us round like little lost sheep. baaa baaaing all over the place. Sadly, they've had a victory by getting the mod to lie to justify Pete's ban.
How long is he banned for? I shouldn't think it will be for long, GC and bans aren't great bedfellows.
