Anybody fancy guessing who the only team they won against in this horrific run by Lesta? An away game too
Saw a stat today that Fulham have only managed to keep a clean sheet at home twice in the past 12 months, both against Spurs. We really are the gift that continues to imagine new ways of giving.
Defensively a shambles. Lack of organisation and far too easy to create chances against. And this isn’t a one off or even just recently. It’s been a factor during Ange’s whole tenure. I could be wrong but for me he just doesn’t put enough emphasis on the defensive side of the game.
Ironically, taking the piss out of us leads to your form nosediving Orient's form before and after Richie Wellens' ill-advised quip about Ange really is night and day
So, the manager gets no credit for this goal because it's not the Ange way? And usually it's crap, but when it's crap, it's Ange and when it's good the players have gone anti-Ange rogue and not followed Ange's orders? ...and if we do more of this, it can't be good, or down to Ange? Is this what you're implying?
I hope so, but I still think we need stronger LCB cover. Not sure if a Dragusin Danso pair would work as neither of them favours the left side.
Since we last won a trophy, 65 players have left Spurs and gone on to win a trophy elsewhere. Kieran Trippier became the most recent member of this list yesterday. SIXTY FIVE.
That's the opposite of what I'm implying. If that goal was the normal way that we play then he'd get more credit. We've actually scored a decent number of goals during his time here, even this season. We've just done so without creating that many chances, especially in recent months.
Anyone know what the number is for, say, Villa fans? Dwight Yorke, Fabian Delph, Ashley Young and Gareth Barry could legit make up half that figure between them
Even though I hate this stat as has no context when it constantly gets put out by the ridiculous media, Trippier was already on it from winning the league at atletico.
Villa more likely to win a trophy before Spurs atm though. I said yesterday it feel like we are watching all the other long term trophy dodgers win one before Spurs. If Everton win one before spurs then it’s time to give up
If it's any consolation I don't think you lot have much to worry about regarding Everton winning something before you
Crystal Palace, Fulham, Brentford, Brighton & Hove Albion and Bournemouth are the only clubs in the top flight without a major trophy in their history - although four of those teams could enjoy FA Cup success this season. Everton are at 30 years, Forest are at 35, Ipswich are 44 years, Wolves are 45 years and Saints are at 49 years. That’s some mad numbers when you think about it.
And by complete coincidence they all seem to do it by getting away with flagrant PSR violations Something Everton (and Everton alone) are not allowed to do
Not me...not yet anyway, although in two (or more) minds, particularly with the ridiculous 'we must do better next time out' ****ology.
