Who is the person to do that?

    Scott Munn?

The bloke who knows slightly more about Association Football than Donald Trump. Before working with a couple of football clubs in Australia and China (those well known hotbeds of top level football), he helped arrange an Olympic Games and worked for 2 rugby teams.

****ing Sebastian (Lord...knows why) Coe would have been a better appointment in sporting terms. Our Chief Footballing Officer knows the square root of **** all about...

    TOP LEVEL FOOTBALL!!

The bloke would probably struggle to differentiate between a wing-back and a wombat. His sole qualifications for the job would appear to be having less hair and being shorter than COYS Daniel.

Only Daniel Levy could have thought that this appointment was a good idea. The first thing Munn did was saddle us with his fellow ex-convict, Postecoglou...who's never managed in a major pro league, despite being nearly as old as me. It's the demented, leading the uninitiated, appointing the unqualified...

    This club is ****ing broken.

Who is Anges' equivalent for :

    1. Arthur Rowe (a pioneering manager Nicholson played under)
    2. Danny boy (a great player already bedded in the squad ranks)
    3. Dave Mackay (the signing of a great player that made a huge difference)

    1. Tommy Docherty was at South Melbourne when Ange was coming through the youth ranks
    2. Son
    3. Mickey Van could be that, if he puts his hamstrings' longterm survival above running at full sprint for every 50/50 ball

Did Ange cross paths with Tommy Docherty? Looking at wiki (I know) it seems he was in the youth team when TD spent his one year as manager at South Melbourne.

There would have been a degree of overlap considering Ange graduated to the first team the following year

That being said, the oft-mentioned candidate is Ferenc Puskas, who was South Melbourne coach between 1989-92 and won the league with them when Ange was a member of the first team - though the reality is Ange's tactics are far more similar to Docherty's because while both played 433, Docherty always used overlapping fullbacks while Puskas tended to use fullbacks to get the ball up to the wingers quickly

Season ticket prices will remain frozen at their current level of 'bloody high' for the 25/26 season.

    Daniel is feeling the heat.

Thats ideal for the day trippers and tourists init

I believe that’s all Levy wants the way he is running us as one of his many entertainment ventures. We are his money making machine and probably a pain in the arse because out of all his ventures this one requires the input of millions on a yearly basis or there will be uproar but by god he’s trying his best to neutralise that aspect of us too.

You and me types and our mentality is an issue for him, we don’t want just a good day out. We have given our lifelong emotions to the badge and them types demand something else.

Nice theory but the club doesn't make a profit so it can't be true. He doesn't need to make such a large loss if that was really his plan.

The club doesn’t make a profit and makes a large loss?

So if that’s true, they’re failing on the pitch and off it. Yet you still think the current owners are the best out there?

They are simply doing what everyone says they should be doing and spending every penny of cashflow that comes in on the team. That leads to losses but they are sustainable provided income keeps on growing. Any owner who invested more would have a bigger loss. It is simple maths.
Do you want them to spend less?

Almost every club makes a loss. In the bizarre world of football ownership that doesn't stop their value to a new buyer increasing.

Nonsense. Stupid quote. Talks about profit then quotes revenue growth. Here is the actual data from the last accounts.

As I was writing this, the club appointed a new director - Peter Charrington.

If you're struggling to recall his previous clubs and experience, fret not. He spent 25 years at...

    Citibank.

Yes, another money man...and a director of ENIC.

    That'll sort things!

    Interesting chart.

    For year 2023
I am assuming that the +138,663 is the profit on income + wages.

The -127,106 i am assuming are transfers and agents.

What is the -76,978? Is that the player depreciation? Not sure what this figure is because it doesnt seem to be wages.

I bet levy is ecstatic to see the asset value increase by 530 million though

My immediate thought was paying a portion of wages to somebody we offloaded just so we could get then out the door, though £76k just to offload (for the sake of putting a name in there) Bergwijn and/or Sanchez seems a little low
