Dr Kojak has now been bombarding with me text messages dismissing my posts re Bowyer as wumming. The latest being "you have as much faith in Bowyer as I have in hair restorer".
Why would he not? He has the football philosophy that Sandgaard would love. I still don't quite know what Lee Bowyer's football philosophy is.
Are we really calling for Lee Bowyer to be sacked, and claiming that thousands of Charlton fans have turned against him, because Charlton have slipped to 18th out of 24 teams in the 'latest six' form guide? Losing hurts. Seeing the team playing poorly hurts. It wounds our pride. But are we going to lash out at the man who brought us up from the 3rd tier when we had a complete cock for an owner, and then stayed around and behaved with professionalism and dignity right through the horrific ESI era - when CAFC was thrown away, robbed blind and came to within a few days of folding up? I hope Bowyer does not read our fans' forums. Are we really so lacking in respect for the man.
I'm not calling for him to be sacked, and don't believe he will be. However, we've been watching some lacklustre performances, and in a football forum it has to be discussed by those who watch the games.
He should be playing. Players should be rewarded for playing well. I said after the last game he had to start, so not being wise after the event.
I’d like to see a midfield three of Maddison, Morgan and Williams Matthews and Maatsen wing backs Deji, Pearce and Gunter in a back three
The current team (almost unchanged) has played very poorly twice and taken 1 point from a possible six. If this starting XI appears again at our next match, I can't defend that. We do need to shake things up, as @Butterfield has suggested above.
This is our best attacking line up sans Doughty, and everyone apart from LB can see it. It sends out a terrible negative message when we start with Pratley / Watson / JF-C
As Elfs has stated attack is the best form of defence, unfortunately we lack up front and we played a defensive midfield, LB has to change it
LB knows a lot more than me. My views on him haven’t changed. I think he will take us up. We are still in the hunt, in a similar position to our last promotion season (thanks @CafcFactsStats ) I (probably naively) believe we will have our first January in goodness knows how long, where we come out stronger. It hasn’t been fun to watch though.
