To ban or not to ban?

Don't see why we need them unbanned. If we want to promote wumming because we are bored then the quality of the board will drop.

Remember the days of Suarez and Evra? There is a reason football talk is at an all time high now. People who come to discuss can discuss, those who come to ruin threads... Well they can't. I enjoy it more now that I know no one can spout idiotic comments and get the topic derailed.

A lot of us on here take the bait when it is offered. Its tough to see good threads about football or individual players derail into nothing but banter. A little bit is alright but WUMs become the central point of all the threads they show up in. No football is discussed when they're around.

So if individuals want to be unbanned to talk about football on the forum or banter in the banter thread then alright. Let them redeem themselves. But if its purely because its quiet then its a bad idea.

When does anyone bringing Heysel up want a serious or sensible discussion on it? Never, its just about the one-upmanship 'us versus them' stuff Eric is referring to.

NOF shouldn't be unbanned, lets not forget how the majority of Man Utd fans were screaming for KPR to be banned for his Munich jibe in the chatbox. I agreed on that occasion that he should be banned as there is no place on this forum (or anywhere else) for posters to use disasters as a form of point scoring or winding people up. Lets have some consistency, eh?

Agree with the Heysel comment

NOF remains banned from the Liverpool board indefinitely.

His banning from the rest of the site was down to a Man Utd mod and had absolutely nothing to do with Liverpool mods.

In addition, his site ban was only ever for 48hrs, it was not a permanant ban. This was in agreement between the Man Utd mod and BRB (supermod).

 

Should we start one on the United board?

I have no clue who is even banned over there. I know Davdakho was but he is gone ( I think) disappeared him!

As for Heysel. A bitter gets so annoyed apparently because we get annoyed cos we thought it was Hillsborough being referred to and made a row about that when in the end he didn't see that both were tragedies and offensive and scummy to be bringing up. Somehow it was about him then
