Sorry cannot agree - we were woeful tonight and am struggling when we havebeen worse over the past three seasons (please prove me wrong!) but booing at this stage of the season is not right. If we fail to make the play-offs (entirely possible based on tonight!) then okay - but not yet.

Its not a private bollocking from their boss the person who is instructing them. No its a public humiliation when they already know they didnt do well enough. Taking your example if you had exceeded the companies wildest expectations (sorry have no idea what you do) for a long period of time and worked hard and then you slip up and get publicly humiliated how would you feel. Yes they are paid well but still is it going to help the team?

I have no problem with frustration I'm fustrated I always am when we loose if I wasnt I wouldnt be a fan and im sure some people get caught up in the moment. However personally it really annoys me when people boo. Anyway sorry if I offended you, your entitled to your opinion I just happen to disagree with it <ok>

Nope you haven't offended me at all. As I said I didn't boo and never do, but I can see why people did.

Don't agree with booing, but although we're still second, the last two home games have been our worst of the season. Need to improve desperately or this promotion we've all been taking for granted is going to slip out of our grasp.

Hopefully a few players coming back from injury will bring our form back with them.

Watching the game on the telly, and strange, we look better than when I was watching it live, that is the problem with edited highlights! We certainly missed some scoring chances that would normally have gone in.

Actually guys I thought they were booing because of Nugent and his antics when he came back on the field of play at the end of the game. I had no idea or inclination that they were booing our guys! Since reading about all this booing, I rang a couple of my mates as I heard them booing too. They confirmed they were booing Nugent, not the team. So I think it may not be so straight forward about booing the team, has some have suggested.

They should boo the lovely Mrs Godders she wore that bloody unlucky coat again!

I asked her not to but she said she was going to get her own back on TheSecondStain as he said she didn't exist.

If she doesn't exist then who the bloody hell was it sat beside me in that unlucky bloody coat.

atrocious support, we could have gotten behind the team more to try and inspire a goal or performance, but people decided to boo, leave early and generally make no contribution to the atmosphere. I felt like telling half the people around me, who incidentally left with 15-20 mins left, to **** themselves

Are the same people who booed at the end of the game the same ones who are abusing Nugent to horrific levels on twitter? It certainly wouldn't surprise me.

A lot of people werent just booing Nugent. Some booed the lads off at half time too. No-one really joined in with the singing at the start of the second half when they all needed a lift as well. Shocking support tonight really.

All in all, a night for Saints fans to forget

I was appalled with the support tonight. The negativity started from the moment Nugent scored after 12 minutes. I was sat with a Leicester fan and he said to me (at one nil) "blimey, you're only one down; are your fans always this negative?"

Some of our fans must be perfect employees at theic jobs and never make any mistakes.

Congratulations, you encouraged Nugent to play what was probably his game of the season tonight. He loved every second you taunted and booed him.

I'm amazed he didn't milk it more than he did. I know I would have.

Here's the thing you see. It's football not wrestling. It makes us look bloody pathetic.

    Just stop it. Please.

Then you agree? Or are you saying we should follow the standard set by the booers at Portsmouth?

I think today we were dreadful and in a way people can't be blamed. When you lose you expect 2-3, maybe 4 players to have a bad game and 1-2 a nightmare. Today all the players were shocking other than Hoovield and Guly imo. That being said boo them or let them know at the end how you feel not during the game
