Not completely, just as much in Liverpool's hands if they turn that GD. Who's to say the tricky trio up front won't do it. 10 past Newcastle on the last day with Stevie Me scoring in the 94th min to win on GD
Even if we put ten past Newcastle (), we'd need to beat Palace and hope Man City to win all theirs by one goal.
Shame winning is still very alien to City. If Chelsea were in Citys position then its a no brainer? City have 4 decades of experience of ****ing up and that doesnt just go away over the course of a few years.
I hope so! lol - although to be honest, I'd much rather you win the title than Chelsea! You're Northern and enemies of United... I can't fault much with that! I'm sick of London teams winning the last few decades... Chelsea... Arsenal... Man U. As long as the title comes back to the North West can't complain too much... Seriously though- if we can't win it- I hope you lot do since you deserve it more than the alternative.
I thought you had won it already, with the recent pre-match celebrations and the lining up of the streets ....
I don't think (m)any Liverpool fans believed that it was sewn up. I think many of us thought we had a bloody-good chance at the title... I think many of us (myself included) still think we have a good chance despite the slip up. Our fans are happy we're doing this well- and are so far above expectations. We're celebrating being in a real title race after so long being outsiders. I think it was fans of Everton, United, and Chelsea who thought Liverpool had won the title and gone into spats of depression and despair at the thought. Most Liverpool fans have been pretty well grounded.
Going from being in the driver's seat to the one in the passenger seat would upset anyone. It's not that fans thought we had won already- it's that- that result threw a major spanner in the works. Statistically it became less likely to win the title after that result. ... and to lose only because of Gerrard doing the unlikely and literally slipping up was a bit of a bitter pill. If situation were reversed- Chelsea had the points in hand- and your long time hero, Terry, gave a goal away by shagging the physio instead of tackling Suarez- you'd be a teensy bit miffed too.
Everyone can understand fans getting optimistic that their team will win the title. But the guards of honour, the fans lining the streets and cheering of the team bus with flags etc smack of title celebrations. Premature celebrations. The title was well within the retarded scousers' grasp. All they needed was one point. But Rodgers was fooled by Maureen into a completely ill judged silly attacking display when they only needed one point from the chavs match. The RS even farcically got upset by the time wasting of the Chavs: why? The chavs needed 3 points and the RS only one point. If the RS lose the title, they will look back at this match and wonder how they got fooled into this comic fiasco.
We are all well aware how much of an idiot you are bbf. No need to announce it. 'they' might be watching after all. Now back in your finnish cage.
Very similar to yoonited supporters roaring their team on in their quest for their first title in 26 years. Its what supporters do Christian, even Yoonited supporters.
