Probably the estimated £ 1 billion stadium cost projection. Sensing some serious butt hurt in his posts.:)

Question is... Have you only sold three top players in 10 years? Or have you only had three top players that clubs have wanted to buy in 10 years?

... a very astute question... I'd refine it further to who would the very biggest clubs take? ... certainly the 3 mentioned ... possibly Harry Kane now ... although it would be fair to say that he didn't really enhance his reputation at this world cup (even with the golden boot) ...

I think that's a fair question, I think our strength in the last few seasons has been as a team, Kane as a goal scorer stands out, players who score more than 20 a season in the league regularly remain a rarity, and Alderweireld and Vertonghen are both excellent defenders.

I am exteremely happy with our players and what they bring, they are in the main still young and improving.

Despite the hype in the media, I would suggest that only Maguire, Pickford and Trippier of the English players did enhance their reputations. Of the Spurs players at the WC I would suggest the Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Sanchez, Son, and even Lloris (despite his error in the final) all did no harm to theirs.

I can think of at least 4-5 of our players that there’d be serious international competition for were they available,

    Yeah easily.

We even got £50m for a RB that ended up losing his place at Spurs towards the end of his final season and has now lost it for his country. Arsenal couldn't even flog their best player when he wanted out so all their parties compromised by offering him £350k a week just to avoid losing him for free.

Pickford, Maguire and Tripps really done our country proud. There's a few others that could've left the tournament satisfied as well but those three really stood out. For the first time in years it's nice to watch an England side who seem to really care and take pride in playing for the country, for too long many have made it feel like a chore.
